The Role

Wood is currently seeking a Senior Electrical Engineering to join our team in our office in Sarnia, ON. This role will be responsible for performing engineering and design duties associated with project scope of work.

Wood’s Projects business delivers some of the world's boldest and most critical projects, embracing many diverse and evolving sectors, from Oil, Gas & New Energies and Process & Chemicals, to Minerals, Metals & Life Sciences. We provide a full suite of services including project management, engineering, EPC, EPCM and project delivery, working in close collaboration with our colleagues in Consulting and Operations to ensure we are responsive to the needs of our clients through an integrated lifecycle proposition.

Final salary will be based on relevant and applicable experience, education, and the specific skill set and qualifications required for the role.

Expected:

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Registered member of PEO or other Canadian Association
  • Minimum 10 to 15 years of experience required
  • Electrical design experience
  • Ability to work in a team environment, as well as strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Must possess strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Candidate must be proficient in high, medium, and low voltage power distribution design.
  • Must be familiar with electrical safety and code compliance requirements.

Desirable:

  • Experience with ETAP or other design software tools
