Job description :

As part of the expansion of our industrial operations, we are seeking an Industrial Project Engineer for our innovative small-to-medium-sized enterprise.

Participate in projects from start to finish: mechanical and process design, continuous improvement of our equipment, tailoring solutions to each client’s needs, as well as managing budgets, schedules, suppliers, and client relationships.

Collaborate with the Production team

Your Main Responsibilities :

  • Gather and analyze the needs of operational teams to define appropriate technical solutions.
  • Develop specifications, projected budgets, and project schedules.
  • Coordinate various internal stakeholders (production, maintenance, quality, methods, HSE, procurement) and external stakeholders (suppliers, engineering firms, subcontractors).
  • Oversee technical studies, supplier consultations, and implementation phases.
  • Monitor project progress and report to management.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, cost, and deadline requirements.
  • Participate in the installation, testing, validation, and commissioning of new equipment or processes.
  • Identify and implement measures to improve industrial performance.
  • Contribute to the standardization and documentation of best practices for projects.

Skills and qualifications :

Desired Profile / Education and Experience :

  • Engineering degree or Master’s degree (M2) in an industrial field (industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, automation, process engineering, production engineering, or equivalent).
  • At least 3 to 5 years of experience in industrial project management, ideally in a production environment.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial processes, production equipment, and continuous improvement methods.
  • Ability to analyze technical issues and propose practical solutions.
  • Proficiency in planning and reporting tools (advanced Excel, project management tools such as MS Project or equivalent).
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or TPM methodologies

  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage priorities.
  • Independence, attention to detail, and initiative.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to bring together multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Enjoys working in the field and is results-oriented.
  • Bilingual in French and English
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to North America
