Your expertise will contribute to providing a safe, efficient, and innovative environment for cutting-edge research and development activities.

Main Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, fire safety, personnel safety, and control systems.

  • Maintain building facilities and systems in compliance with applicable standards, codes, and guidelines.

  • Apply and adhere to all codes, regulations, and policies related to building operations and workplace safety.

  • Maintain an energy management program and ensure that all systems operate as efficiently as possible.

  • Contribute to the implementation and monitoring of a preventive maintenance program to extend the lifespan of equipment and respond to emergency repairs.

  • Comply with policies regarding the safe storage, use, and disposal of hazardous materials and maintain a clean and safe work environment.

  • Review and analyze building systems (fire alarms, HVAC, plumbing, etc.) to verify their compliance with nominal capacities and client requirements.

  • Utilize in-depth knowledge of engineering principles and techniques to address complex mandates and propose innovative solutions.

  • Act as a technical reference within the team: mentor, share knowledge, and support colleagues from other disciplines.

  • Collaborate with client, operations, project, and service teams, and contribute to building consensus around proposed solutions.

  • Clearly explain sometimes complex, sensitive, or delicate information.

Desired Profile

  • University degree in building engineering or related field.

  • 3 to 5 years of professional experience in building mechanics, property management, or similar environment.

  • Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) – mandatory.

  • Ability to exercise informed judgment based on multiple sources of information.

  • Ability to take a fresh look at existing solutions and propose improvements.

  • Excellent command of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

  • Advanced organizational skills, sense of priorities, and curiosity.

  • Comfort with numbers (percentages, fractions, simple financial calculations).

  • Good written and oral communication skills in a multidisciplinary context.

Why Join This Mandate?

  • Directly contribute to the reliability of critical infrastructures in a high-tech environment.

  • Work in a context where safety, quality, and continuous improvement are at the heart of priorities.

  • Develop your technical skills and autonomy within an experienced team.
