ANDI is undertaking a strategic transformation to better serve its members, foster new partnerships, and demonstrate measurable economic impact through employment creation, competitiveness, supplier development, and market access.

We are seeking a skilled volunteer to support ANDI in updating its institutional strategic plan and strengthening its financial performance framework. The volunteer will help align the organization's long-term vision with newly established priorities while developing a baseline assessment of financial performance indicators among member organizations.

This assignment offers an opportunity to contribute to sustainable economic development by strengthening an organization that plays a critical role in supporting businesses and industry growth.

As a volunteer, you will:

  • Analyze existing organizational data, priorities, and stakeholder inputs to inform strategic planning.
  • Design and facilitate a methodology for updating ANDI's Strategic Plan.
  • Support consultations, workshops, and stakeholder engagement activities with ANDI members.
  • Facilitate the validation process and incorporate feedback into the revised strategy.
  • Develop and present a comprehensive five-year Institutional Strategic Plan aligned with member priorities and organizational objectives.
  • Financial Assessment Support
  • Conduct an initial diagnostic assessment of financial management practices and performance indicators among ANDI members.
  • Establish a baseline framework for measuring financial compliance and organizational performance.
  • Provide recommendations to strengthen financial planning, monitoring, and reporting processes.
  • Identify best practices and opportunities to improve financial sustainability and accountability.

Essential Qualifications:

  • University degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, Strategic Management, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in strategic planning, organizational development, or institutional strengthening.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience conducting organizational assessments and developing recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Essential Background:

  • Experience supporting organizational transformation, strategic planning, or capacity-building initiatives.
  • Experience working with industry associations, private sector organizations, economic development programs, or business support organizations.
  • Knowledge of financial analysis, performance measurement, and organizational governance.
  • Master's degree (MBA, Master of Finance, Economics, Public Administration, or related field) is considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong facilitation, consultation, and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and translate analysis into actionable recommendations.

What’s in it for YOU? A life-changing experience!
