Senior Java AWS Developer – Capgemini – Princeton, NJ

Job Description

Looking for a Java AWS lead Developer to join us for a full‑time role in Princeton, NJ. The role is part of Software Engineering, which encompasses the development, maintenance and optimization of software solutions and applications. The engineer will apply scientific methods to analyze and solve software engineering problems, develop and apply software engineering practice and knowledge, supervise technical and administrative work, and collaborate with other software engineers and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Works under pressure and is able to manage competing priorities.
  • Meets or exceeds expectations on process turnaround for assigned tasks and follow‑ups, and issue resolution to closure.
  • Able to resolve P1 / P2 issues and represent the team in bridge calls.
  • Provides root‑cause analysis for critical bugs / defects.
  • Post‑production changes / release validation of application support during off‑hours.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Total 10+ years of experience in the IT industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Primarily responsible for analyzing, debugging and resolving production support issues.
  • Develop functional knowledge of the application and gain Subject Matter Expert level knowledge.
  • Strong experience in Java 8 / 11, Spring, Spring Batch, Spring Boot, Hibernate, Oracle, PostgreSQL.
  • Proficient in AWS Load Balancers, EC2, ECS, Lambda, CloudWatch, CDK scripts, GitLab pipelines.
  • Knowledge of Linux commands, shell scripting.
  • Able to analyze Splunk logs and Dynatrace monitoring, performance and provide recommendations to improve performance.
  • Strong documentation skills and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Willing to work and resolve tickets as per Incident SLAs.
  • Strong knowledge in writing complex SQL queries.
  • Advanced ability to research, analyze and recommend improvements to issues within the application.

    • Compensation

    The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is $76,200 to $178,290. Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay‑transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting.
