Your mission should you accept it :

The Site AutoCAD Drafter performs 2D and 3D drawings of road conception. They are responsible for the desktop validation of the survey data provided by field surveyors. They ensure route optimization, quantity calculations, compliance calculations and execution.

Do you have what it takes? Positive energy and...

  • Hold a professional diploma in drafting (DEP), a civil engineering technology (CET) or any other relevant education ;
  • Technical certifications / card / diploma required according to the laws and regulations of the work location ;
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant construction industry experience ;
  • Mastery of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Google Earth, Bluebeam and MS Office software ;
  • Knowledge of AutoTURN software (an asset) ;
  • Knowledge of ArcGIS software (an asset) ;
  • Hold a valid driver’s license ;
  • Ability to work in a team, with good oral and written communication skills;
  • A keen eye to details and ability to solve problem ;
  • Capacity to work in high-stress environment managing multiple projects at different stages of construction ;
  • Ability to work on remote site (an asset).

What you will do to complete this mission successfully :

  • Produce 2D and 3D drawings of future solar and wind farm projects ;
  • Perform quantity calculations ;
  • Work closely with the Estimation team and Engineers assigned to the projects ;
  • Prepare sketches and notes, and perform electronic data collection ;
  • Process field data, coordinate field staff, and interface with CAD group ;
  • Work with the Superintendent and Foreperson to update any modifications related to road modeling and optimization ;
  • Conduct physical site surveys using a variety of equipment and tools as required ;
  • Operate GPS and robotic surveying devices and work with road building software as required ;
  • Perform the stacking of the elements of the projects as required ;
  • Survey the elements for the as-built as required
  • Other related duties.
