Role Overview

The Content Designer plays a key role in shaping Welfare Avenue’s visual identity and digital storytelling. This role is ideal for a creative student or early-career professional who wants hands‑on experience producing impactful photo and video content for a mission‑driven organization.

You will help bring our stories to life through high‑quality visual content used across social media, campaigns, and digital platforms, ensuring our message resonates with the communities we serve and the partners who support us.

Key Responsibilities

Video & Photo Production

  • Edit and produce high-quality photos and videos for social media, website, and promotional materials
  • Use professional tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and After Effects (non‑Canva workflow)
  • Ensure visual content aligns with Welfare Avenue’s brand and storytelling standards

Social Media Content Creation

  • Create engaging visual content for platforms such as Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube
  • Support short‑form and long‑form video initiatives
  • Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to support campaigns and initiatives
  • Brainstorm and develop new content ideas with the communications team
  • Support planning and execution of digital campaigns and storytelling projects
  • Represent Welfare Avenue professionally in visual and on‑camera content when required

    • Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree completed or currently enrolled in Graphic Design, Film, Media, Multimedia Integration , or a related field
  • Strong proficiency with professional photo and video editing software
  • Solid visual storytelling and creative thinking skills
  • Comfortable speaking and presenting on camera
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to commit a minimum of 4 hours per week
  • Passion for social impact and community engagement
