SENIOR DESIGN ENGINEER – PRODUCT INNOVATION

This position will be in our Engineering team reporting directly to our VP of Innovation. The Senior Design Engineer will be responsible for the development of the design of innovative products concepts and the development of working prototypes that will be used for concept validation. You will manage various Innovation projects from concept definition to beginning of the new product development process. The Senior Design Engineer will identify IP and provide necessary documentation to secure IP ownership. RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Coordinate and Execute Innovation Design projects through proof of concepts.
• Collaborate with product managers to develop products concepts which are based on customer insights and field research.
• Execute market research and benchmarking to better understand competitive construction and opportunities for improvements / Innovation.
• Develop, Design, Review 3D CAD detailed product construction using Solid Works (or other viewers).
• Develop working prototypes for proof-of-concept testing.
• Perform Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis for product concepts.
• Leverage suppliers to develop innovative products securing IP ownership or exclusivity depending on nature of innovation.
• Identify Innovation and take necessary steps to secure ownership of intellectual property.
• Develop test plans that will be used to evaluate products during proof-of-concept.
• Lead design reviews for new product concepts.

INGÉNIEUR CONCEPTEUR PRINCIPAL – INNOVATION PRODUIT

Ce poste fait partie de notre équipe d'ingénierie et relève directement de notre VP Innovation. L'Ingénieur Concepteur Principal sera responsable du développement des concepts de produits innovants et de la création de prototypes fonctionnels qui seront utilisés pour valider les concepts. Il ou elle gérera divers projets d’innovation, de la définition du concept jusqu’au début du processus de développement de nouveaux produits. L’Ingénieur Concepteur Principal identifiera les opportunités de propriété intellectuelle (PI) et fournira la documentation nécessaire pour sécuriser la propriété des PI.
