Job Description
Under the direction of the Manager, IS Applications, the PACS/RIS Analyst will provide technical support, proactive maintenance and staff training for diagnostic imaging applications including Radiology Information System (RIS) and both Diagnostic Imaging, Cardiac Diagnostics/Cath Lab Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), Advanced 3D Visualization applications, and Structured Reporting application. The PACS/RIS Analyst serves as the liaison for DI initiatives and other departments for new radiology applications and technology evaluations. Building on the current best practices and working with Imaging Informatics colleagues, the PACS/RIS analyst will apply own experience and expertise to implement programs and initiatives to support the strategic objectives and direction of the organization.
Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years experience in radiology/I.T. operations in a diagnostic imaging environment preferred
- Baccalaureate Degree in a related discipline or a Certified Imaging Informatics Professional (CIIP) preferred
- Strong diagnostic imaging operations background along with workflow knowledge and assessment abilities
- Demonstrated knowledge of RIS, PACS, VR, as well as strong domain knowledge of DICOM, HL7 and IHE interoperability standards
- Strong information technology skills with emphasis in system administration, user management, network troubleshooting and performance monitoring, database/SQL administration, process automation scripting
- Demonstrated flexibility and excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize work and function independently completing a high volume of tasks accurately and with close attention to detail under pressure of deadlines with frequent interruptions and/or distractions
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain organized records
- Strong analytical, problem solving and decision making skills
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as alone
- Excellent attendance, punctuality and work record
- IIA/IIP, MRT, PACS, CIIP, CCNA, MCP and/or other relevant certifications are considered an asset

Additional Information
Hours: Currently Days, Monday to Friday, and on-call after-hours support as required (subject to change in accordance with operational requirements)
This is a hybrid role: Roles that function remotely, but require essential, regular onsite weekly work
Annual Salary:
Minimum: $88,413.00
Maximum: $110,526.00
