Southern Health-Santé SudManitoba, CAReporting to the Regional Lead – Quality, Planning & Performance, the incumbent is responsible for the collection, analysis and presentation of quantitative and qualitative data to support planning processes in the region. As a key member of an innovative and progressive team, the incumbent will have an opportunity to work closely with the senior leadership team to support evidence- informed decision making. Another key aspect to this role is the compilation and synthesis of regional data needs. Turning data into action is our team’s motto!
The incumbent will exercise a high level of initiative and independent judgment in determining work priorities, work methods to be employed and action to be taken on unusual matters. The position functions in a manner that is consistent with the mission, vision and values; and the policies of Southern Health-Santé Sud.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary degree in community health sciences or epidemiology
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
- Knowledge of Community Health Assessment processes
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret significant volumes of quantitative and qualitative data and information.
- Demonstrated leadership and organization skills with an ability to work within a complex interdisciplinary environment and lead several initiatives simultaneously.
- Demonstrated decision making and problem-solving skills and abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and engage in group facilitation and presentations.
- Given the cultural diversity of our region, the ability to respect and promote a culturally diverse population is required
- Proficiency of both official languages is essential for target and designated bilingual positions
- Demonstrated ability to meet the physical and mental demands of the job
- Demonstrated ability to respect confidentiality including paper, electronic formats and other mediums
- Good work and attendance record
