This is the start of something great! Our entry level Production employees learn all aspects of production right from clean up to machine operation. We’re looking for a Production Employee to join our EcoLogo-certified facility located in Armstrong, British Columbia. Our Armstrong Lumber Division safely and sustainably produces million board feet every year for customers around the world so they can build their homes and their communities.

Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications:

  • High School Diplomaor equivalent.
  • Commitment toworking safelycoupled withstrong communication&interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to workvarious shifts,including evenings and weekends,in aphysically demanding industrial environment.
  • Strongproblem-solvingskills.
  • Ability to workindependentlywithlittle supervision.
  • Previousexperience in a forest productsenvironment is considered anasset.

In this role you will:

  • Work independentlyas part of ahigh-performance teamdedicated to safely and efficiently producing lumber products.
  • Perform a variety of labour dutiesto increase productivity and reduce safety risks.
  • Identify, analyze and troubleshootproblemsthat might arise in your area, andcommunicatewith your Team Lead and Maintenance teams to get things back on track.
  • Use yourstrongcommunication skillstowork collaborativelyacross your team.
