Job Description: In-Home Caregiver Position: Weekend Mornings Preferred

Just Like Family Home Care Duncan location is hiring amazing health care staff again! Want to look forward to your workday? At Just Like Family, we do!

Be treated like a professional and respected for your talents and experience. We are a close-knit team of Home Support Workers, Caregivers, and nurses who work together to ensure our clients have the highest quality of care from every team member. Reliability when working with our senior clients is of utmost importance to assist them with daily living activities!

We take pride in doing the “extra little things” that make all the difference to our clients. We provide quality in-home care services in the Lower Mainland.

Qualifications:
  • Seeking individuals wanting a long-term career opportunity that has flexibility, is compassionate, caring, and with a genuine interest in improving the quality of life of others.
  • We are seeking caregivers who are willing to take initiative and work well independently or as part of a team.
  • The ability to speak and write well in English is needed. The ability to speak another language is an asset!
  • Must be able to take the bus and /or drive to work.
  • Must live in the Duncan Area or the immediate vicinity.
  • A smartphone with data is necessary for scheduling and reporting purposes.
  • A criminal record check is required, and 1 professional reference is required.

If you are detail-oriented, like working 1-1 with clients, are dependable, honest, nurturing, and fun-loving, you are just the right person. Job types available: Full-time, part-time positions.

We have ongoing relevant educational training modules to help you grow in your knowledge while you work.

Types of care we provide:
  • Companionship.
  • Light housekeeping.
  • Meal preparation.
  • Dementia Care.
  • Personal Care.
  • Laundry.
  • Outings/Taking clients to appointments.
  • Overnight Care.
  • Respite care.
  • Palliative Care.

Caregivers assigned ongoing clients based on their experience and availability, depending on client schedules

We are a compassionate business based on person focused care in the comfort of the clients own home environment. Staff can make a real difference in their local community caring for individuals making sure they get the right type and amount of care. We customize the care each client receives and update their care plans as needs change. Having consistent caregivers working weekly with their specific clients is how we ensure there is rapport and that consistent care is in place.
