Job Description
ETS – Architecture Roles & Responsibilities – Software Architecture Curriculum Design and Delivery
The role resides in the Enterprise Architecture team within the Enterprise Technology and Services (ETS) Division.
The Software Architecture Curriculum Designer and Trainer is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high-quality training programs related to enterprise architecture. This role requires a strong understanding of software design principles, architectural patterns, and best practices, as well as the ability to effectively communicate these concepts to learners at various skill levels.
The role will involve deep collaboration across all divisions in the Firm primarily technologists and business.

Key Responsibilities :
1. Curriculum Design :
a. Collaborate with learning& development and divisional subject matter experts to identify learning objectives, target audience, and required competencies for software architecture courses.
b. Design comprehensive training programs that include lectures, hands-on exercises, and assessments.
c. Ensure the curriculum aligns with industry standards and best practices in software architecture. 2. Content Development :
a. Create engaging and interactive course materials, such as presentations, exercises, and assessments.
b. Continuously update and improve existing course materials based on feedback and emerging trends.
c. Develop case studies and real-world examples to illustrate software architecture concepts and principles.3. Training Delivery :
a. Conduct in-person and virtual training sessions for a diverse range of learners, including software developers, architects, and technical managers.
b. Utilize a variety of teaching methods, such as lectures, group discussions, and hands-on exercises, to facilitate learning and engagement.
c. Provide ongoing support and mentorship to learners, addressing their questions and concerns.4. Evaluation and Feedback :
a. Monitor learner progress and satisfaction through assessments, surveys, and feedback sessions.
b. Analyze evaluation data to identify areas for improvement in the curriculum and delivery methods.
c. Continuously refine and update the training program based on feedback and emerging trends in software architecture.
5. Industry Engagement :
a. Stay up to date with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in software architecture.
b. Participate in industry conferences, workshops, and networking events to maintain a strong professional network.
c. Collaborate with industry partners to develop new training programs and initiatives.
What we’re looking for :
- Prior experience of Enterprise Architecture within the Financial Services sector and supporting project delivery, with an ability to develop and deliver high quality output against project objectives whilst meeting tight deadlines.
- Running forums / committees that represent a platform to get like minded folks together with relevant topics
- Experience of senior leadership engagement. Skills that will help you in the role :
- Experience working in a regulated industry, preferably financial services.
- A detailed understanding of tools, trends, and patterns within the software architecture community.
- A passion for and proven track record of working across organizations to build consensus and drive progress.
- Clear and concise communication across all levels and technical depths to manage senior stakeholders across divisions.
- Agile, Scrum, JIRA, Microsoft Project
- Client and Vendor Management
- Professional certifications in software architecture, such as TOGAF or IASA, are a plus.
- Proven experience in designing and delivering training programs, preferably in the field of software architecture.
- Skills :
- a. Strong understanding of software design principles, architectural patterns, and best practices.
- b. Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
- c. Ability to work collaboratively with subject matter experts and learners from diverse backgrounds.
