Role Summary
We are seeking a self-sufficient, goal oriented, highly motivated and results-driven individual responsible for developing relationships with new customers and maintaining satisfaction level with existing customers. This person is passionate about the F&B space and plant based products. The sales representative will help with acquisition and retention, mainly in the food service industry, but will also help with some retail activities as we are trying to grow our presence in Ontario. Your main goal will be to increase our sales and volume in Ontario, mainly in the Greater Toronto Area.
This role requires a strong understanding of the sales process, proactive problem-solving skills, adaptability to changing market conditions, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
You will manage your own schedule and most days will be spent on the road meeting potential customers and existing clients. There will also be some industry shows to cover and work with sessions with our distributors. You will be reporting to the Business Development Director.
Here are the key responsibilities :
- Achieve sales targets and industry penetration and retention targets;
- Identify and qualify potential customers within territory through cold calling, networking, referrals, and industry events;
- Create new accounts and manage existing ones;
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients and peers;
- Become familiar with Oatbox's overall offering to effectively maximise our offer to various prospects encountered;
- Promote Oatbox’s products through in-person meetings and tastings;
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities, customer interactions, and sales pipeline in the CRM system;
- Analyze sales and do business reviews with specific clients.
- Become an expert on the coffee shop scene;
- Develop a good understanding of the restaurant and hospitality industry;
- Conduct thorough information gathering to understand the coffee market, customer needs and identify best possible offerings;
- Organise different events with the help of our marketing team
- Keep an alert eye on news of plant-based F&B in the Ontario market;
- Attend in-person meetings when needed;
- Proactively attend industry events, conferences and meetings to build relationships and keep abreast of industry developments;

- 2 years of experience in sales
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Well-connected within the GTA hospitality network (will be considered a bonus)
- Well-organized and able to take initiative. The position requires a lot of autonomous work, therefore the applicant needs to be able to manage their accounts and make certain decisions independently
- Passionate about food and beverages. Passion about coffee is a bonus
- Available to work flexible hours for events
- Valid driver’s license and access to a car.
