Description de postePost-secondary education in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. 5+ years of experience as a Credit Analyst with a focus on Private Debt Investments (PDI) . Strong working knowledge of Excel (including intermediate functions such as pivot tables, vlookups, and financial modeling). Familiarity with credit risk assessment frameworks and financial analysis techniques. Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data clearly. Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Experience with credit rating agencies and their models is a plus. Our client in Calgary is currently looking to expand their team on a contract basis with a highly motivated and detail-oriented Credit Analyst who has experience in PDI (Private Debt Investment) and a solid understanding of Excel . This position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to key decision-making in finance and lending operations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct thorough credit analysis, including financial statement analysis, cash flow modeling, and risk assessments.
- Evaluate the creditworthiness of clients and investments, utilizing both quantitative and qualitative data.
- Prepare credit reports and present findings to senior management for approval.
- Analyze private debt investment portfolios (PDI), ensuring compliance with internal credit policies and industry standards.
- Monitor loan performance and develop strategies for risk mitigation.
- Develop and maintain Excel-based models for tracking financial performance, forecasts, and key credit metrics.
- Work with cross-functional teams including finance, risk management, and legal to ensure timely and accurate credit assessments.
- Assist in preparing presentations and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ad-hoc duties as requested.
