Our client is a well known construction company that builds commercial and institutional projects throughout BC. We are looking for someone who has commercial, institutional, or mass timber experience as an Estimator to join their team and contribute to the success of their growing portfolio of developments.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare Detailed Estimates – Analyze project plans, specifications, and costs for mass timber structures, including materials, labor, and subcontractor pricing.Bid Coordination – Develop competitive bids, request subcontractor quotes, and ensure cost accuracy for proposals.Value Engineering & Cost Analysis – Identify cost-saving opportunities, assess project risks, and provide recommendations to optimize budgets.Collaboration & Communication – Work closely with architects, engineers, suppliers, and project teams to ensure pricing accuracy and feasibility.Market & Supplier Research – Stay updated on mass timber materials, pricing trends, and industry innovations to ensure accurate cost projections.QualificationsExperience in construction estimating, preferably for commercial, institutional and / or mass timber. Can have experience with structural steel, concrete, or building envelope.Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar).Excellent analytical skills with a detail-oriented approach to cost estimation.Ability to interpret architectural and structural drawings effectively.What's on offerGrow your career with a collaborative and innovative team.Competitive salary + comprehensive benefits.
