Description de poste

Location : Quebec City (Onsite)

As a Site Project Manager / Commissioning Manager, you will oversee the commissioning of datacenter equipment and the daily operations of the site. Your day-to-day responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

  • Manage and monitor project scope, schedule, planning, resources, risks and project deliverables commensurate with the assessed solution categorization.
  • Coordinate a multi-disciplinary team to ensure effective daily job allocations are grounded in collaboration, team work and quality results.
  • Review technical specifications, tender documents to ensure detailed work scope, engineering designs and drawings meet the customer’s requirements.
  • Apply a process approach to managing risks and exceeding customer expectations.
  • A continual improvement mindset.

Requirement :

  • Bilingual in French and English (required).
  • 3-5 years of experience working in the construction industry, with construction supervisor or field superintendent role considered an asset
  • Understanding of Electrical and Mechanical Systems , including the ability to interpret 2D drawings and schedules.
  • Experience with commissioning complex systems, including UPS, ATS, SVS, and TCP.
  • Safety Awareness : A strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations.
  • Client-Focused : A mindset geared towards ensuring customer satisfaction, with the ability to handle client meetings professionally.
  • Strong Communication Skills : Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams, contractors, and clients.

    • Nice to Have :

  • Construction Experience , preferably in the datacenter industry.
  • Experience in Datacenter Projects : Familiarity with the processes and challenges of building and commissioning datacenters.

    • Software Proficiency :

  • Microsoft Project : for project planning and scheduling.
  • Microsoft Excel : for data management and reporting.
  • Compass / Nexus : used for project management and business operations.
  • SAP / SEA : for resource planning and scheduling.
  • Familiarity with PMI methodology or similar project management standards.
  • Ability to manage a multi-disciplinary team, ensuring coordination and adherence to deadlines.
  • Proven track record of overseeing the full project lifecycle from initial planning through to successful system handover and client approval.

    • Travel between different sites may be required, with compensation provided for travel between sites
