Aramark is recruiting a Junior Sous Chef to join our culinary team at our client operation in downtown Toronto. This role involves menu development, preparation, and service for the leadership team and other venues such as catering within the office tower. The schedule is Monday-Friday DAY Shift, with occasional work later for events.

Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef, General Manager, and senior sous chefs to create meals for premium service, catering, and other venues
  • Develop recipes and standardize production recipes for consistent quality
  • Oversee production sheets, food safety checks, and delegate line cooks
  • Handle scheduling, ordering, and inventory duties as needed
  • Maintain good client and guest relationships
  • Ensure food quality and safety standards are always met

    Qualifications

  • 2-3 years culinary experience, preferably in fine dining or 5-star hotels
  • Culinary degree or diploma preferred; new graduates considered
  • Ability to prepare authentic international dishes with cross-cultural ingredients
  • Strong plate and platter presentation skills for fine dining
  • Good knife skills and kitchen organization
  • Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and team spirit
  • Flexible schedule for special events
