Job Description

Our client is a leader in the industrial pipes, valves and fittings distribution industry.

This position is responsible for the delivery of product and material to customers and for the picking up of product and material from customers and suppliers. This position is also responsible to ensure all documentation associated to the delivery and pick up of product and material is complete and filed and, to assist in the warehouse as required / requested.

Primary Job Duties

Looking for Class 3 driver to complete appointments and deliveries as per the schedule
Responsible to ensure product or material is loaded in a safe manner prior to vehicle movement, to inspect, document and report damaged product or materials, communicates same to Branch / Warehouse Manager (or designate)
Responsible to complete all necessary customer delivery or customer / supplier pick up documents on daily basis
Other duties as assigned
Start time 0600 AM- 2 : 30 PM
Ensure products, materials and machinery are moved and stored in a safe fashion
Practice safe driving
communicate with supervision regarding delivery schedules to ensure efficient delivery routing
Must be comfortable assisting in the warehouse, to pick and complete orders, move and / or place stock and / or yard materials in the appropriate location, receive shipments and / or load / unload trucks (manually or mechanically) when not driving (very little portion)
To participate in warehouse physical inventory as required / requested
To assist warehouse and counter staff as required / requested

Qualifications

Well organized with ability to multi task and work to shifting priorities

Bilingual (French & English) may be required in some locations

Must be physically fit (walk, lift, climb)

Must have capability to be trained and certified to operate mechanical lifting devices (forklift, crane, boom crane, etc). HIAB would be an asset.

Must possess current class 3 license and clean driving abstract
