Description de poste

Our client, the top civil construction contractor in Prince Edward Island for over 50 years, is looking for an experienced Grader Operator to add to their dynamic team. THE JOB  The Grader Operator will be responsible for safely and effectively operating a grader to strip, grade, and fine grade various materials; perform daily pre-operation checks on equipment and completing daily paperwork and maintenance (cleaning, minor adjustments, lubricating, and monitoring fluid levels). The Operator will receive job specifications from the Foreman, Superintendent, and customers, then plan and coordinate work with the dispatcher and other staff. WHY YOU SHOULD APPLY

  • 23.55 - $27.20 / hr + 4% vacation pay depending on experience
  • 0.40 / km if driving more than 50km daily (25km per way) from home to job site
  • Overtime after 52.5 hours Monday to Friday
  • Guaranteed overtime on Saturdays and guaranteed double time on Sundays

REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years experience in grader operation
  • Able to maintain visual concentration and safely operate equipment for extended periods in all conditions
  • Class 1 or 3 license not required, but considered an asset
  • Able to use a GPS
  • CSA approved steel-toed boots
