Your mission should you accept it :
The Legal Affairs Director, reporting to the Vice president and Chief of Administration Officer, is responsible for overseeing and managing all legal matters within the company, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards in the construction sector. This role requires a proactive leader who can manage risk, provide strategic legal guidance, and support Borea’s growth and operations through sound legal advice and representation.

- Legaldegree from an accredited university
- Member ofthe Quebec Bar and any other relevant jurisdiction
- Minimumof 10 years of legal experience, with at least 6 years in the constructionindustry
- Provenexpertise in construction law, contract negotiation, regulatory compliance, anddispute resolution
- Strongleadership skills and ability to manage cross-functional teams
- Excellentcommunication, in French and in English, oral and written
- Abilityto think strategically and provide practical legal solutions
- Strongorganizational skills and attention to detail
- DesiredAttributes :
- In-depthknowledge of construction regulations, contract law, building codes, and safetystandards.
- Experience working with contractors, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies.
- Strongbusiness acumen and the ability to align legal strategies with corporateobjectives.
- Proactive, solution-oriented, and able to handle complex legal issues in afast-paced environment.
- PhysicalRequirements :
- Ability to work in an office environment and visit the Quebec office.
- Abilityto work long hours when necessary, especially during critical project deadlinesor litigation.
