Job Duties / Qualifications, Skills and Abilities (QSA)

Job Duties Job Duties This online cook up-grader program is designed to prepare individuals to challenge the cook inter provincial journey person examination. Each online lesson includes a pretest, video, workplace assessment and post test. The lessons are released two per week and are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. All participants have access to a virtual classroom forum with the chef instructor one afternoon per week.

Duties :

• Organization and operation of a 18 week online study course for cooks wishing to challenge the Red Seal Journeyperson Cook Exam
• Constant contact with, and monitoring of online students
• Collection of student statistics and assessments
• Reporting to students and stakeholders
• Completion of the course and all assessments and grading within a timely manner
• Problem solving for student issues
• Instruction through online methods
• Liaison with SaskPolytech Helpdesk and Learning Assistance
• Liaison with Saskatchewan Apprenticeship and Trade Certification Commission and Saskatchewan Health Region regarding client / employee placements in the course
• Being available at various hours to respond to student concerns QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE Description Required Qualifications Red Seal Cook Journey person

Recent contact / experience with the Saskatchewan Apprenticeship Board

Familiar with Brightspace, D2L or similar computer course delivery systems

training in adult education and training
