Description de poste

Our client in the public sector is seeking a contract based Fullstack Developer to work on their system modernization.

Duration : 12 months (start April 1)

Location : Remote (client is in BC)

Responsibilities :

  • Develop full-stack applications using Python, PostgreSQL, Vue.js, and TypeScript within a modern DevOps environment.
  • Design, develop, integrate, and manage RESTful APIs and ensure compliance with OAS v3 (OpenAPI Specification) .
  • Migrate digital services from legacy mainframe systems to containerized, microservices-based architectures using Kubernetes, OpenShift, and DevOps tools .
  • Implement and manage CI / CD pipelines , automated testing, and cloud-based deployments.
  • Collaborate in scaled agile teams , participating in sprint planning, agile ceremonies, demos, and cross-team meetings.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to develop solution architectures that solve business problems.
  • Mentor and transfer knowledge to in-house staff on modern languages, Agile, DevOps, and container management platforms .
  • Ensure system observability and reliability, following SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) best practices .
  • Contribute to search technologies such as SOLR, Elasticsearch, and Google Cloud Search .

Requirements

  • 5 years experience as a full-stack software developer using modern programming languages and frameworks.
  • 3+ years experience working with Python and TypeScript .
  • Experience developing applications using Flask, Vue.js, and Nuxt.js Experience developing with an API gateway for external use.
  • Strong experience with RESTful API development and integration .
  • Experience with cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Experience migrating digital services from legacy environments (e.g., mainframes, client-server) to modern cloud-based solutions.
  • Proficiency in DevOps, Kubernetes, containerization, and microservices architecture .
  • Knowledge of government Online Services .
  • Experience with search technologies (SOLR, Elasticsearch, Google Cloud Search).
  • Experience with PL / SQL, Oracle, and PostgreSQL databases .
  • Experience working on the OpenShift platform .
