CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for these roles. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $18-32/hour. These roles are existing vacancies.

Your future duties and responsibilities:
What Your AI Future at CGI Could Look Like
AI Engineering
• Identify AI/ML use cases (predictive analytics, automation, NLP).
• Prototype AI solutions using Python, Azure/OpenAI, HuggingFace, Gemini, CoPilot, LLMs.
• Support data preprocessing, cleaning, and analysis for model feasibility.
• Develop and experiment with AI-driven prototypes (using LLMs, RAG, or Agentic workflows) to automate manual QE tasks.
• Research and benchmark emerging AI tools to see if they meet our enterprise security and performance standards.
• Analyze test data to identify patterns where AI can improve "Shift-Left" quality and defect detection.
• Work closely with senior engineers to document findings and present PoC results to leadership.
GenAI Developer
• Build LLM- and NLP-based solutions using best-in-class techniques.
• Handle end-to-end data and prompt engineering to enhance user experience.
• Develop, fine-tune (LoRA, QLoRA), deploy, and monitor ML solutions (RAG & Agentic AI).
• Mitigate risks and optimize costs in GenAI architectures.
Collaborate with innovation teams, clients, and account teams for GenAI solutions.
• Work with Data Scientists and Engineers on client engagements.
• Implement proofs of concept and scale them to full ML solutions on cloud or on-prem.
Data Engineering
• Opportunity to develop the end-to-end (E2E) conversion of Informatica code to Databricks.
• Utilize the EDH tool for data handling and management during the migration process.
• Ensure smooth and high-quality code migration, aligning the conversion process with the organization's technical standards and business needs.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure that the converted code meets all performance, scalability, and functional standards before it is handed over to the Application Development (AD) team.
• Own the quality assurance process, identifying and troubleshooting any issues that arise during the code migration.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• Students currently enrolled in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, or related programs
• 1+ work term of hands-on AI experience
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts
• Proficiency in Python (essential) and familiarity with frameworks like LangChain, OpenAI API, or Hugging Face.
• Curious thinkers eager to learn and solve meaningful problems
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
