Overview

TalentFish is casting a line for a Frontend Web Developer ! This is a remote 7-month+ contract with our premier Canadian client. We are seeking candidates with hands-on experience developing user-facing web applications using modern frontend technologies.

Are you a collaborative team player who enjoys knowledge sharing and brainstorming with creative people? This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to an immersive, browser-based interactive experience with visually rich and engaging components!

What You Bring to the Role. (Ideal Experience)

  • Strong frontend development skills with modern technologies and frameworks : JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Vue, HTML, CSS.
  • Proven experience building clean, maintainable, and user-tested web applications.
  • Collaborative mindset and a passion for working with creative, cross-functional teams.
  • Bonus points for experience with 3D web development, graphics, or animation.
  • Understanding of performance optimization for graphics-intensive applications (reducing draw calls, improving rendering, load time, etc.).
  • Familiarity with version control (Git).
  • Background working on interactive media applications is a plus.

What You'll Do.

  • Assist in designing and building sophisticated, interactive browser-based applications.
  • Optimize for performance and scalability.
  • Refactor and maintain clean, reusable code.
  • Participate in code reviews and offer constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate across disciplines to define and implement features.
  • Engage in the full software development lifecycle—from planning to deployment.
  • Actively contribute to team meetings and discussions.

    • Compensation and Employment

    The approximate pay rate for this position is $45 - $60 per hour CAD depending on experience and qualifications. Candidates must reside in Ontario or British Columbia for consideration. This role is eligible for paid time off for statutory holidays per employment laws per province. All offers are contingent upon the completion of a background check, which may include but is not limited to reference checks, education verification, employment verification, drug testing, criminal records checks, and any required certifications or compliance requirements based on the end client's background check policies and applicable laws.
