Responsibilities
Conduct site visits to gather specifications for both new installations and upgrades in senior care facilities.
Install and service a range of systems, including IP-based CCTV, NVR / DVR, intercoms, nurse call systems, Wanderguard systems, and telephony systems.
Set up and connect Cat 5 / Cat 6 communication cables and configure IP addresses for cameras, phones, alarms, and other networked devices.
Test, troubleshoot, and adjust equipment to ensure all systems perform efficiently and reliably.
Read and interpret electrical drawings and building plans to design and implement system installations effectively.
Prepare detailed equipment lists and requirements for projects in senior care facilities.
Manage and execute all service-related tasks, either remotely or through on-site visits.
Provide technical support and assistance to customers via phone, email, or remote access, ensuring prompt issue resolution.
Deliver training to clients and end-users as needed to ensure proper system use.
Support additional tasks and projects as assigned by the team.
Qualifications
College degree or diploma in IT or a related field is preferred.
1-3 years of experience in a technical support role, ideally in the senior living or a related industry.
Hands-on experience with installing and maintaining nurse call systems, telephony systems, Wi-Fi networks, structured cabling, and Wanderguard systems is an asset.
Proficient in computer skills, including familiarity with MS operating systems, office software, and system configuration tools.
