About the Job
The Registered Nurse :
This is a Casual opportunity. Casual Employees are not guaranteed hours of work and can range from 0-37.5 hours per week on an as-needed basis.
Shifts of work will be scheduled days and nights rotating from 07 : 30 to 19 : 30, 19 : 30 to 07 : 30 hours.
About this Location
Kelowna General Hospital’s NICU department is one of two Level 2b or Tier 4 NICU’s in Interior Health caring for neonates less than or equal to 30 weeks gestation. It has 12 funded beds as it is a major referral centre for Interior Health. The department operates 24 / 7 with four RNs on staff at any given time. Nursing staff work Days (07 : 30 to 19 : 30) and Nights (19 : 30 to 07 : 30).
The Women’s and Children’s Services Department is a major referral centre for Interior Health. With five birthing rooms and 22 obstetrical beds, it sees 1,650+ deliveries a year. The department operates 24 / 7 with three RNs in labour and delivery and four RNs in Antepartum / Postpartum / Gyne Surgery at any given time.
