We are looking for a Live-In Caregiver / companion & Housekeeper to help us take care of our 77-year-old father who has Moderate Stage Dementia. We are looking for more someone who can be a companion for him and also someone who likes cooking / housekeeping to help make dinner for the family.
Start Date is April 1, 2024 for LIVE IN CAREGIVER-ONLY
Our father lives with us in the basement apartment of our home.
Responsibilities Include :
We are looking for someone who is mature, patient, calm and can be understanding with someone living with mild dementia. A driver's license / car would be a bonus although not required for the position. Someone who is a self-starter, can work independently and is trustworthy and positive. Since meal preparation is a big part of this job, you must be someone who likes cooking, and has a genuine interest in food preparation.
Prior experience working with a senior with dementia would be an asset.
