Description de posteSupporting a Partner directly; Organize, plan and prioritize work depending on the current requirements; File and submit documentation through the Canada Revenue Agency online portal, and monitor status of filings and documentation; Manage annual minute book maintenance / filings and perform due diligence reviews on minute books; Prepare draft documentation including correspondence, agreements, resolutions, minute books, federal and provincial government filings and by laws. Maintain and review lawyer’s calendar daily along with proactively scheduling and handling upcoming events; Maintain and input all file information into document management system and, Additional duties as assigned. 2-3 years of experience in Corporate / Commercial Law; Successful completion of Legal Assistant or Law Clerk diploma program; Experience with charitable and not-for-profit clients will be considered an asset; Familiarity with Soluno, Worldox and PC Law, considered an asset; Proficient with MS Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams,); Excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills; Demonstrative analytical skills, good judgment, and a and high attention to detail; and Ability to work well in a team as well as with minimum supervision when required.
