Description de poste3–5 years of experience in specification writing. Strong knowledge of Canadian building codes and construction materials. Experience with light industrial, agricultural, and / or commercial projects preferred. Understanding of sustainable design practices. Familiarity with tendering and contract admin processes. CSC or CSI membership is a plus. Proficiency in BIM / specification software is an asset. Compensation : $65,000 - 100,000
ABOUT OUR CLIENT
OUr Client, a reputatble design and architecture firm is looking for a Specifications Writer to support a variety of light industrial, agricultural, and commercial projects. This role focuses on maintaining consistent, high-quality specifications, mentoring teams, and supporting construction documentation from early design through to completion.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and maintain standardized, up-to-date specifications.
- Guide project teams through specification development across all phases.
- Integrate sustainable materials and maintain a vetted materials list.
- Support tendering, RFIs, submittals, and change management.
- Maintain the material library and liaise with vendors to stay informed on product innovations.
