The position can be based anywhere in New Brunswick.Established in 1974, Hatchard Engineering provides complete engineering, and construction management services across the Maritimes. As a leading architectural, design and project management firm, Hatchard strives to create meaningful relationships that provide clients with greater overall control of their projects, generating results that are successful, on time and on budget.The Senior Architect will be responsible for leading design initiatives and managing the successful execution of projects from inception to completion. Reporting directly to the President, the Senior Architect will work closely with the project management team with support from their team of Draftspeople to provide exceptional results on time and on budget.What You’ll Be DoingBe the key contact for clients to understand their vision, present project plans, provide regular updates, and manage expectations.Working on a variety of projects ranging from car dealerships to firehalls.Manage the preparation of all architectural technical document packages and related submittals for planning, obtaining approvals, and specifications.Review and approve design and construction documentation ensuring high standards of quality.Lead and participate in regular project meetings, ensuring alignment and progress.Manage and mentor junior architects and the design team.Monitor the timeliness and quality of architectural technical document submissions to clients and other project stakeholders.Participate in the preparation of project reports and status updates as required.Contribute to business development efforts, including client proposals and presentations.What We’re Looking ForTechnical Skills : A minimum of five years of experience in architecture, including a strong background in both design and project management.Proven experience working on large to medium-scale projects.Must be a licensed Architect in New Brunswick or immediately eligible for licensure.Software Proficiency : Autocad.Revit experience is highly desirable.Proficient in the use of the Microsoft 365 suite.Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, is an asset.Key Competencies : Strong communication skills with the ability to work with all different types of personalities.Highly collaborative with the team, contractors, and clients to ensure we turn their vision into reality.High attention to detail to ensure work meets high standards of accuracy and quality.A natural problem solver with the ability to resolve conflicts in a calm and effective manner.Ethical responsibility by upholding the highest standards of ethics and integrity in everything we do.What’s In It For YouAt Hatchard Engineering, you’re not just taking a job—you’re building a career with a company that values long-term growth and leadership development.
