Job Duties / Qualifications, Skills and Abilities(QSA)

Job Duties Job Duties 1. Provide instruction in Drafting and CAD classes to students enrolled in a variety of post-secondary programs.

2. Practice good interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.

3. Plan and deliver content and learning activities that reflect the values, beliefs, needs, and contributions of a culturally diverse community.

4. Utilize LMS for in person, online, and blended course delivery.

5. Manage the classroom and activities to ensure an optimal learning environment using an outcome-based approach.

6. Respond to and accommodate the special learning needs of students, including equity groups and diverse learners.

7. Use appropriate evaluation methods, record student progress, and provide feedback.

8. Make necessary curriculum adjustments to course content.

9. Follow academic regulations and policies adopted by Saskatchewan Polytechnic.

10. Work cooperatively with program heads and colleagues in an interdependent “team” environment.

11. Pursue professional development opportunities to keep current with industry and educational requirements.

12. Attend staff, program, and school meetings.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE Specific Accountabilities Duties Required Qualifications, Skills and Abilities (QSA) 1.Two year engineering technology Diploma in one or more of the following disciplines : Drafting, Mechanical, CAD / CAM, including an advanced CAD drafting course.

2.Eligible for registration as an Applied Science Technologist in Saskatchewan.

3.Two years recent / relevant business / industry experience including AutoCAD software (2 years of experience in the last 5 years).

4.Effective communication skills (written and oral).

5.Effective interpersonal skills and problem-solving skills.

6.Effective instructional ability.

7.Ability to arrange, maintain and evaluate resources.

8. Demonstrated competence and recent experience in the use of the internet, e-mail, MS Office Suite software and the ability to learn and adapt to changing technology.

9. Ability to function as a team member in an ever-changing environment.

10. Demonstrates valuing diversity.
