Examples of scholarly activity include, but are not limited to, curriculum development, preparation and modification of course materials / textbooks / lab manuals, wetlab research, theoretical / computational research, or pedagogical research. It is also desirable for candidates to have an interest in participating in community outreach, pursuing professional development activities, and / or exploring ways of including various cultures including indigenous ones. Candidates should also be aware that the University Act requires that public universities be non-sectarian and non-political.
We seek applicants who share our commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching. Candidates must be willing to hold both themselves and their students to high academic standards. High quality, academically rigorous instruction plays a crucial role at UFV as we serve a student body with variable high school backgrounds and levels of preparation.
Currently, the annual salary for this position ranges from $70,437 to $112,872. Initial placement on the salary scale depends upon experience and qualifications.
