Job Duties Job Duties 1. Programming software solution prototypes as defined by our partners / clients;2. Conducting research and literature reviews;3. Preparing equipment / materials for field / laboratory operations;4. Data gathering / entry and maintaining integrity of data collected;5. Collate data collected and perform preliminary data analysis;6. Assist in the preparation of project documentation, including proposal progress reports, technical reports, and user manuals as required;7. Adhere to non-disclosure agreements;8. Adhere to all relevant field / laboratory safety precautions;9. Perform general field / laboratory equipment maintenance duties;10. Work with others in fostering a cooperative and supportive team environment;11. Perform general laboratory duties. QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE Specific Accountabilities Duties Required Qualifications, Skills and Abilities (QSA) 1. Must be a student expecting to graduate in from one of Saskatchewan Polytechnic’s following programs :
a. Computer Systems Technology
b. Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics with emphasis on LLM
c. Software Development
Exceptions may be made for a candidate graduating from another Saskatchewan Polytechnic program who already has a degree in a Computer Science program from another institution.
2. Must have experience, can be from your education, using the following programming languages and environments :
a. Python or a similar programming language
b. SQL, Cypher or a similar database management language
c. Knowledge of AI Models would be an asset.
d. Knowledge of web development stacks would be an asset.
3. Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
4. Possess a minimum 65% overall course average.
5. Strong oral and written communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
6. Be in good standing i.e. tuition and fees are up to date.
7. Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
8. Effective organizational and time management skills.
9. Must be willing to work in an office setting in Saskatoon or Regina.
