Job Title: Assembler

Job Description

This position involves piecing together parts according to drawings and procedures using tools and fasteners.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of subassembly and final assembly operations on units with variable shapes and sizes.
• Follow specified methods and procedures for designated assemblies using hand and power tools and test equipment.
• Conduct, analyze, and record test results.
• Ensure all job requirements are met before leaving the work center.
• Meet or exceed established production levels.
• Participate in supplier development.

Essential Skills

• 1.5+ years of experience in mechanical assembly.
• 1.5+ years of experience in electrical assembly.
• Experience using hand and power tools.
• Experience working off of blueprints, diagrams, and electrical schematics.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical assembly.
• Proficiency in wiring and blueprint reading.

Why Work Here?

Eligible for profit sharing after one year, with time on contract counting towards this period. Profit sharing equates to 10% of an RRSP account, approximately $10,000 annually. The work environment features very high ceilings and excellent lighting, coupled with a friendly team and supportive supervisors.

Work Environment

This medium-sized manufacturing company boasts over 200,000 square feet of clean and bright workspace. It includes six assembly work stations, eight welding cells, a paint booth, and an epoxy mold department with more than ten machines. Night shift employees have a paid lunch break but must remain on the premises.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brampton, ON.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.50 - $23.50/hr.
