We are currently seeking a skilled, passionate, and collegial Cerebrovascular / Endovascular / Cranial-Focused Neurosurgeon to join our expanding neurosurgery team in Carmichael / Sacramento, California.

Position Overview :

As a Cerebrovascular / Cranial-Focused Neurosurgeon with Mercy Medical Group, you will play a vital role in diagnosing and treating complex neurological conditions affecting the brain and cerebrovascular system, ranging from aneurysms to brain tumors. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including neurology, neurocritical care, oncology, and radiation oncology, to deliver comprehensive care to our patients. Successful candidates must be ABNS board-certified or eligible. The ideal candidate will have excellence in cranial neurosurgery and vascular / endovascular surgery, with a strong commitment to patient care and teamwork. Mercy San Juan is a comprehensive stroke center, with a robust referral network for neurovascular and cranial diseases.

Call frequency for general neurosurgery would be Q6-7, covering 1 hospital, 1 office location.
Strong trauma / neurocritical care / hospitalist team that admits all patients.
Comprehensive stroke center (the first in California).
Endovascular-trained neurosurgeon would take Q3 endovascular call.

Responsibilities

Perform surgical procedures for cerebrovascular disorders, including aneurysms and arteriovenous malformations.

Dual endovascular training is a plus, including aneurysm coiling, mechanical thrombectomy, MMA embolization, and embolization of vascular malformations.

Perform brain tumor and cranial surgeries.

Qualifications

Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.

Board certification, or board-eligible in Neurological Surgery.

Fellowship training in cerebrovascular and cranial neurosurgery.

Valid California medical license (or eligibility for licensure).

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Commitment to patient-centered care and teamwork, collegial.
