Vet et Nous is a multidisciplinary team composed of veterinarians, both generalists and specialists, operating at a high rank whose mission is to take care of clients’ pets as if they were our own. Our teams are split into 3 emergency and reference centres open 24 / 7 and several general practice hospitals and clinics in the greater Montreal, Laval, Montérégie, Laurentides, Lanaudière, Mauricie, Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean, and Quebec region.

You play a key role in the team since you manage the veterinarians by ensuring that they offer professional and quality service while respecting the values of the company. You implement exemplary medical practices in collaboration with the regional medical director.

Main Responsibilities :

Management :

  • Participate in the veterinarians’ hiring process
  • Oversee the onboarding and integration of new veterinarians into the team, ensuring they receive adequate training
  • Plan and conduct performance appraisals of team members during their probationary period and for periodic evaluations
  • Contribute to the preparation of veterinarians’ schedules
  • Manage day-to-day operations with team members (supervision on the floor, answering questions, etc.)
  • Train and motivate key players in the team to ensure proper succession management
  • Coordinate annual leave requests for the team
  • Work in collaboration with veterinarians to address medical-related complaints from clients

    • Operations & Communications :

  • In collaboration with the regional medical director, identify training needs and plan training activities to keep team members’ skills up to date, staying informed about new technologies
  • Promote adherence to best medical practices by all team members
  • Develop and update operational protocols for the proper functioning of the team
  • Plan, facilitate, and follow up on team meetings, ensuring that all information is conveyed
  • Carry out pharmacy / medicine management

    • Strategic Development :

  • Identify and lead medical operations plans to ensure progress and continuous improvement

    • Time Allocated to the Task :

  • 4 scheduled hours per week

    • Requirements :

  • Proficiency in French (written and spoken)
  • Veterinary doctor with 5 years of experience in a general practice hospital setting
  • Good stress management skills
