Reporting to the Manager of Operations and in consultation with the Technical Services Coordinator, the Library Technician works in collaboration and consultation with a diverse team of library staff, Librarians, Archivist, and Manager. Working with various library and information systems, the Library Technician is responsible for cataloguing physical and electronic resources in various Library and Archives systems, including the catalogue and institutional repository leading to improved resource discoverability for students. The Library Technician determines appropriate sources for purchase of materials, places and monitors all aspects of orders made directly with selected vendors.

The official University hours of operation shall be from 9 : 00 a.m. to 4 : 30 p.m., Monday through Friday, during, and including, the months from September to April, and from 8 : 30 a.m. to 4 : 00 p.m. Monday through Friday during and including May to August., amounting to thirty-three and three-quarter (33.75) hours per week.
