OVERVIEW

The Wind farm Maintenance Planner is responsible for scheduling the day-to-day maintenance of the wind farm technicians. Utilizing and managing the CMMS for the Kruger Energy and Port Alma wind farms, such as predictive, preventative, and corrective maintenance plan, work orders, spare parts inventory, and relationship with suppliers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Be an active member of the Health and Safety site committee.
• Plan and coordinate the execution of predictive, preventative, and corrective maintenance plan for both Wind turbines and Balance of Plant.
• Assist with troubleshooting through reading schematics in order to troubleshoot complicated mechanical, electrical, and hydraulics.
• Ensure that the spare parts inventory is kept on-hand based on criticality.
• Prepare kits to optimize the interventions of the maintenance department (wrench time).
• Participate in the development or improvement of procedures and service best practices in the field.
• Coordinate and plan preparations for major shutdowns. Carry out follow-ups in the form of post-mortems on major stops.
• Perform QA / QC inspections as well as LOTO audits of site technicians.
• Monitor KPIs to ensure site optimization and performance.
• Employ and implement continuous improvement techniques and initiatives.
• Monitor and ensure contractor performance and work quality.
• Perform root cause analysis for corrective work.
• Create and update work orders.
• Responsible for the implementation and monitoring of OHS interventions recommended by the management committee, health and safety and / or management.
• Comply with all applicable environmental policies and procedures.
• Write and prepare the various reports relating to maintenance.
• Perform Inventory cycle counts.
• Maintain inventory and keep up to date certifications of all tooling as required.
• Any other duties assigned.
