Au quotidien tu devras :
  • Agir en tant que responsable technique civil/structure pour différents mandats dans les secteurs de l’énergie, des mines, du secteur manufacturier et du bâtiment.
  • Participer régulièrement à des rencontres avec le client.
  • Participer à la définition de projets et élaborer des concepts en collaboration avec le client et les autres disciplines.
  • Assurer le lien entre le client et l’équipe de travail.
  • Réaliser la conception de structure d’acier et de béton, principalement en industrie lourde.
  • Superviser la production des plans, les signer et les sceller.
  • Produire des notes de calculs, des documents techniques et des dessins.
  • Effectuer des études techniques.
  • Participer à la définition de projets et élaborer des concepts en collaboration avec le client et les autres disciplines.
  • Participer à des revues de conception.
  • Modéliser des structures avec le logiciel SAFI.
  • Préparer des estimés de coûts de projet.
  • Coordonner les projets avec les autres disciplines.
  • Assurer la faisabilité/constructibilité des projets.
  • Effectuer les relevés de chantier et des inspections en chantier.
  • Fournir du support technique à la réalisation des travaux en chantier.

Exigences :
  • Baccalauréat en génie civil.
  • Membre d’une association provinciale d’ingénieurs professionnels (APEGA, APEGS, et/ou EGBC).
  • Minimum 10 ans d'expérience dans le domaine des structures (préférablement dans le domaine industriel).

  • Expérience en génie-conseil et/ou en industrie lourde.
  • Habilité à suivre plusieurs projets simultanément.
  • Habileté à communiquer avec le client, les entrepreneurs et l’équipe de conception.
  • Aptitudes pour le travail d’équipe.
  • Capacités démontrées à converger rapidement en résolution de problèmes.
  • Approche pratique et soucis de constructibilité dans les solutions techniques proposées

Who is GCM Consultants?
We are a local engineering firm that has been helping customers in all industries with engineering, operations and maintenance since 1994. On a daily basis you will have to:
  • Act as a civil/structural technical lead for various mandates in the energy, mining, manufacturing and construction sectors.
  • Participate in regular meetings with the client.
  • Participate in the definition of projects and develop concepts in collaboration with the client and other disciplines.
  • Act as a liaison between the client and the work team.
  • Design steel and concrete structures, mainly in heavy industry.
  • Supervise the production of drawings, and sign and seal them.
  • Produce calculation notes, technical documents, and drawings.
  • Conduct technical studies.
  • Participate in defining projects and developing concepts in collaboration with the client and other disciplines.
  • Participate in design reviews.
  • Model structures with SAFI.
  • Prepare project cost estimates.
  • Coordinate projects with other disciplines.
  • Ensure the feasibility/constructability of projects.
  • Provide technical support for the completion of work on the field.


Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Civil Engineering
  • Member of a provincial Professional Engineering Association (APEGA, APEGS, and/or EGBC).
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in structures (preferably in the industrial field).


You are the one we are looking for if you have:
  • Ability to establish good working relationships with the client and build trust.
  • Experience in consulting engineering and/or heavy industry.
  • Ability to follow several projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to communicate with the client, contractors, and the design team.
  • Aptitude for teamwork.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly converge on the solution to a problem.
  • Practical approach with a focus on constructability in the technical solutions proposed.
