Responsibilities
- Develop and improve preventive maintenance procedures for tractors;
- Management and optimization of mechanical workshops in Canada (Coteau-du-Lac, Napanee, Windsor, Calgary);
- Develop and improve maintenance strategies and related performance indicators;
- Work in collaboration with the team covering trailers to follow up on preventive maintenance of trailers;
- Monitor budget and improve maintenance costs;
- Manage damaged equipment;
- Manage a team with various responsibilities;
- Develop and maintain a network of suppliers for equipment maintenance;
- Negotiate quotes for work related to equipment repairs;
- Management of the plate team (IRP) and permits for all transport operations;
- Participate in the configuration and definition of equipment specifications;
- Participate in analysis, operational profitability projects and return on investment projects;
- All other tasks related to the position.
Requirements
- 7 to 10 years of experience in a related or similar position;
- Bachelor’s degree administration (an asset);
- Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, mainly Outlook and Excel
- Bilingual, written and spoken, English & French (Spanish an asset)
- Basic knowledge of accounting (tax calculation)
- Knowledge of government standards (SAAQ, CVOR, US DOT, an asset)
- Valid driver license and passport
Required Skills:
