Responsibilities

• Working with drivers in QC / ON & USA ensuring on-time & efficient operations
• Schedule driver runs intelligently and to maximize profitability. Determining the best routes and order of pick-ups & deliveries
• Communicate (via phone / text / geotab) with drivers to advise their next pick-up and deliveries
• Working closely with the drivers on any problems they may encounter
• Working very closely with fellow dispatchers to co-ordinate the daily activities
• Advising Customer Service Representatives of any issues so the CSR may communicate directly with clients
• Update changes in run and freight details in Truckmate system
• Troubleshooting various issues as encountered by drivers, fellow Dispatchers & Customer Service personnel. Promote prompt & efficient problem resolution
• Communicate on an "as needed" basis with senior personnel including VP Operations, Safety & Compliance Director, Fleet Manager, etc
• Participate in weekly Operation & Planning meetings, usually held virtually. Provide your insight
• Update Accessorial Charges in the truckmate software system
• Updating shipment status in the dispatch system (Truckmate)
• Confirm that pay-roll calculations made by drivers are accurate
