The pricing administrator is primarily responsible for setting up and maintaining ship & debits, new products, and promotional pricing.

Major Responsibilities

  • Work in collaboration with procurement and sales teams to perform pricing-related functions and maintain data integrity (e.g., vendor cost) in SX Web UI.
  • Build reports in Cognos to facilitate data modeling, develop new pricing strategies, and reduce manual data generation / manipulation.
  • Set up sales / vendor contracts promptly upon validation of profitability.
  • Routinely assess existing price setups to maintain or improve profit margins.
  • Troubleshoot cost / price discrepancies and ensure smooth processing of purchase and sales orders.
  • Regularly assess the company’s database and suggest improvements for a cleaner dataset to avoid revenue loss and increase profitability.
  • Generate monthly POS reports providing business insights to vendors.
  • Provide pricing-related information on specific material codes / customers as requested by internal stakeholders, along with recommendations for price improvement.
  • Skills Required

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (XLOOKUP / VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables)
  • Experience working with Cognos / Power BI is an asset
  • Ability to analyze large sets of data, cost structures, and perform basic calculations (e.g., estimating margin %, using multipliers)
  • Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail
  • Education & Training

    Advanced Excel knowledge is an asset.
