Hudbay Minerals Inc. is seeking a Temporary Red Seal Millwright at our Copper Mountain Mine in Princeton, BC. This position is a 7x7 schedule, Day shift / Night shift.

Please note that this opportunity is NOT a fly-in-fly-out position.

Temporary Red Seal Millwright

Location

Copper Mountain Mine is located near the town of Princeton, British Columbia at the center of the scenic Similkameen Valley. Princeton is a community-oriented town with a diverse offering of activities, especially for those who love the outdoors. Princeton is also in close proximity to both the city of Vancouver and the Okanagan.

Summary

Reporting to the Mill Maintenance Supervisor, the Red Seal Millwright will provide full oversight of preventative maintenance services and repairs, troubleshooting, diagnosis, and creation of service plans. Troubleshooting will take place in the field and the shop as required and as determined by the maintenance supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Performs mechanical preventative maintenance and repairs working within the Mill Maintenance team,
• Works safely to repair and maintain all milling equipment within the mill building, internal and external tailings system equipment, and pumping systems for underground water and freshwater supply,
• Performs any other responsibilities related to the Red Seal Millwright role as required or as assigned by the department head.
