ABOUT THE ROLE
The Field Supervisor reports to the Area Manager and oversees 5–10 operations to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations. This role is responsible for crew scheduling and rotation, rig inspections, equipment coordination, job mobilization, and day-to-day customer operations.
The Field Supervisor supports safety and compliance through crew observations, training, incident investigations, and by ensuring employee certifications and documentation are current. This position acts as a key liaison between rig crews, clients, and internal teams, prepares operational reports, approves supply requests, participates in operational meetings, and supports continuous improvement initiatives.
This role includes both field and office work and requires flexibility to work cross-shifts as needed.
This position is required to work on location at Treeline's Grande Prairie office.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee daily operations for 5–10 operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant execution
- Schedule and coordinate crew rotations, relief coverage, and job mobilizations
- Serve as the primary liaison between rig crews, clients, operator consultants, and internal teams
- Conduct rig inspections, crew observations, and on-the-job training to maintain operational standards
- Lead incident investigations and ensure timely follow-ups and corrective actions
- Ensure employee certifications, tickets, and documentation remain current and compliant
- Review and approve rig supply requests and equipment requirements
- Compile and submit operational reports, including hours, maintenance, and scheduling
- Participate in operational meetings and collaborate with management to support business goals
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and safety
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 5+ years of service rig industry experience, with prior supervisory or lead experience preferredStrong commitment to safety leadership and maintaining a safe work environmentProven ability to manage multiple rigs, crews, and shifting prioritiesExcellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skillsStrong organizational skills with the ability to complete reports and documentation accuratelyComfortable working independently in both field and office environmentsProficient with basic computer systems for reporting, scheduling, and communicationValid driver’s license and ability to travel to field locations as requiredWHY JOIN TREELINE?
