Quality Assurance Inspector

Brannon Steel is looking for a Quality Inspector to join the afternoon shift (Monday to Friday, 3pm to 11pm) at its Brampton location. Starting at $25.11 per hour PLUS up to $2 per hour in afternoon shift premiums, you'll carry out traditional quality assurance functions in a busy manufacturing environment with some of the highest standards in the industry.

Wage: $25.11 to $37.29 per hour, depending on experience.

Shift: Monday to Friday, 3pm-11pm, afternoon shift.

Responsibilities

• Read part drawings, production documents, and customer instructions.
• Perform and document quality inspections.
• Initiate NCRs and other quality procedures.
• Participate in root causes analyses, audits, and other quality processes.
• Work closely with Supervisors and production staff to promote and ensure quality.
• Prepare and submit reports as directed.
• Perform minor part adjustments and repairs using hand and power tools.
• Monitor compliance with calibration procedures.

Requirements

• Certificate / diploma in a quality discipline OR equivalent experience.
• Prior manufacturing experience. Steels / metals experience is an asset.
• Detailed understanding of the ISO 9001:2015 quality standard.
• Experience with NCR, RCA, PPAP, PFMEA and similar processes.
• Skilled in the use of basic and precision measurement tools (i.e. tape, caliper, micrometer, CMM).
• Fluent in both Imperial and Metric systems.
• Highly analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.
• Strong organization and prioritization skills.
• Computer-proficient including MS Office.
• Forklift and/or overhead crane operator certification and experience are an asset.
• Able to work an afternoon shift. (Monday-Friday, 3pm-11pm).
