Job description

Position Summary

The Material Handler is primarily responsible for the shipping and receiving of countertops and related products.

Desired Skills & Experience

Strong organizational skills
High attention to detail
Strong written and oral communication
Basic computer skills with capability of learning new software
Have valid driver’s license and clean criminal record
Basic mathematical skills
Good measuring skills
Understanding of warehouse processes
Forklift operators’ certificate and / or able to obtain one
Physically fit

Duties & Responsibilities

Transports merchandise between receiving stations, warehouse and production areas including loading and unloading delivery vehicles

Maintains shipping & receiving dock in an orderly fashion

Maintains industry vehicles and material handling equipment in safe and good working conditions

Executes daily work instructions received from Supervisor in a timely manner

Maintains the work area clean, safe and organized

Lifts and carries merchandise as needed including waste disposal and recycling activities

Collects and disposes garbage and housekeeping activities

Other duties as assigned
