This role is a hybrid work arrangement. Work schedule to be discussed with the Hiring Manager according to the guidelines defined by the department.
The position can be based in Toronto, Ottawa, or Montreal.
Your Role
Reporting to the Senior Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis, you will be responsible for Providing a high degree of specialized support to Technology & Infrastructure (T&I), in the areas of Planning, Budgeting, Reporting and Forecasting. Conducts detailed and complex analysis and research of financial information and other non-financial data to support those activities.
Responsibilities :
Monitor, and complete analysis of the financial status of the workforce and provides information and advice to components of T&I on fiscal management.
Offer consistent support to facilitate components of T&I operations. Assist managers in managing their resources in accordance with the policies of CBC / Radio-Canada.
Ensure the implementation of all management tools enabling managers to plan and manage their budgets effectively.
Complete reconciliations of data between different financial systems necessary for financial analysis.
Maintain authority over funds and staff and therefore, provides advice and guidance on policies, procedures and guidelines for accounting and financial management of the Corporation.
Analyze adherence to accounting policies and practices, identifies deviations and makes recommendations for changes.
We are looking for a candidate with the following
University degree and a professional accounting designation - CPA.
Minimum of three years of experience in related field of Financial Analysis.
Must possess knowledge and experience in all areas of financial reporting and accounting, IFRS, financial legislation, corporate policies and procedures, and government funding issues, sufficient to oversee, complete or assist in complex in-depth analysis of any area, and to recommend changes to policies, guidelines and procedures.
Must have experience, training and expertise associated with Excel or Google Sheets, and SAPand must be familiar with and capable of using other various software packages in delivering reports and projects.
Superior English-language skills (spoken and written) and good knowledge of French (spoken and written).
