Physician Assistant (PA) - Casual

24/7 Occupational & Emergency Medicine Solutions (24/7 OEMS) is currently accepting applications for a casual Canadian Certified Physician Assistant (current and good standing) interested in travel assignments (fly in, fly out) for an Occupational Health clinic in the Northwest Territories and Ontario.

The Canadian Certified Physician Assistant will be expected to practice within the medical directives and formulary as approved by the 24/7 OEMS Medical Director. The PA will work as part of the on-site clinical team and have access to our 24/7 on-call emergency medicine consultants. Prior experience in occupational medicine and/or the provision of advanced care in a remote setting would be an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site emergency / primary and occupational health services
• Assist with occupational injury / illness case management
• Review pre-employment medical examinations
• Provide occupational health surveillance services: audiometric, spirometry and respiratory fit testing
• Provide drug and alcohol testing services

Qualifications

• Canadian Certified Physician Assistant (Required)
• ACLS
• BLS
• CPR/AED Health Care Provider
• ATLS (preferred)

Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly rate equivalent to $775 - $800 per 12‑hour day
• Supplemental overtime and call‑back rates
• Flights and accommodations to and from site are provided
• Funding for required certifications (e.g., Alcohol and Drug testing certifications)

Schedule

• As a casual Physician Assistant Replacement, you are not required to commit to a recurring schedule
• Typical coverage rotations are between 1 to 3 weeks
• 7 days per week
• 12‑hour shifts
