We’re looking for an Assistant Branch Manager in the Financial industry.

Our client is a full service-financial institution delivering personal and commercial banking services to more than 17,000 members.

Our client is based on the beautiful Sunshine Coast, British Columbia.

We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Branch Manager, Service to work closely with our client’s membership and branch teams.

This role necessitates a strong leader who exhibits exceptional leadership capabilities, is intrinsically motivated, and is driven to achieve desired outcomes.

The ideal candidate should possess outstanding communication, problem-solving, time management, and prioritization skills.

Assistant Branch Manager responsibilities :

  • Drive business growth through deposit and loan portfolio improvements and cross-selling.
  • Lead and mentor a team using advisory services for building relationships and new business.
  • Oversee daily branch operations, including staff's loan approvals.
  • Generate new business by selling and referring lending and deposit products.
  • Support changes aligned with corporate strategies.
  • Exemplify credit union leadership and foster employee engagement.
  • Supervise and motivate branch staff for excellent service.
  • Establish performance standards and address training needs.
  • Develop training programs for staff growth and service quality.
  • Assist in employee recruitment and interviews.

The successful candidate has :

  • High school diploma and two years of post-secondary education in a general business program.
  • Four to six years of financial industry experience, with three to five years in both deposit and lending, and at least one year in a supervisory / management role.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Completion or willingness to complete the "Overview of the Credit Union System" course.
  • Ideally, the candidate has completed or is currently enrolled in the CUIC Management Studies program.

Compensation and benefits :

  • The discussed salary range is $70,000 $84,000 depending on experience
  • Candidates with additional experience and higher compensation expectations may also be considered
